Thank You for Your Submission to ESR Screened Caregiver

ESR Screened Caregiver thanks you for your submission to our services. We look forward to providing you with accurate and comprehensive background screening for caregivers.

Did you know that under the law your caregiver is an employee subject to state and federal tax withholding?  Many people do not understand how this works or what to do to comply.  ESR Screened Caregiver has partnered with Paychex, a leading national payroll service, to make fulfilling these obligations a very simple process.  We recommend that after reviewing the following information that you give them a call.

According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a household worker is your employee if you control what work is done and the worker performs services that are subject to your will. As an employer, you have certain tax responsibilities whether you pay in cash, the work is full time or part time, or you pay the worker by time period or by the job. For more information, refer to Internal Revenue Service Publication 926, Household Employer’s Tax Guide available at and related publications and resources provided by state agencies regarding household employees.
